I've finally got the back done and somehow I've managed to knit a cat into it. (I'm also using the Karabella Soft tweed in cranberry.) Off to cast on for first front piece, wish me luck!
That's a blocking board I received for Christmas from my sister. I love it. You can pin needles in it and it folds in half for storage. I'm not sure exactly where she got it but places like Joanne's has it. Mine is the larger one. -Christine/Cpurl

Well, I must say, if this kind of thing had to happen, at least it's an attractive cat. Clean and all. I think you can still wear it.
Aren't you clever? How on earth did you manage that?
Of course, you might just start a trend. Soon everyone will be wanting a cat knitted into the backs of their jackets ;)
cpurl, this may sound a little novice of me, but what is the gridded surface you are blocking into?
You may see that show up on You Knit What???
Good luck! Accessorizing is always a good thing.

P.S. Kitty still alive and now off the jacket :)
Ahhh, cats. Of course the reason you laid it all out for him to sit on.
Hmm, you may have to dye Puss-Wuss to match the jacket. Do you suppose dyes for wool and silk would work on cat hair, too? They're all animal fiber!
